Bruce's Notes This LP is a bit of an odd duck in their sound effects series. The bulk of the LP features bugle calls and bosun's pipe whistles. The rest of the LP comprise military marches and the U.S. national anthem. I have a sneaking suspicion that the bosun whistles were recorded during their recording sessions of military aircraft (DFS 7012)

In 1971 a sequel volume of bugle calls was released, featuring the talents of Al Hirt (DFS 7050). I do not know why this happened. If anyone knows, please
e-mail me (at af at afd dot brucelaing dot com)
